Steps

  1. Step 1: Inspect vCenter & AVS Interconnect Topology

Review vsphere.tf and avs-interconnect.tf. The configuration defines on-premises vSphere datacenter clusters, compute resource pools, and ExpressRoute / private cloud interconnect attachments.

    cat vsphere.tf
    cat avs-interconnect.tf

  2. Step 2: Review HCX L2 Network Extension & Stretched VLANs

Inspect hcx-service-mesh.tf and network-extension.tf to examine HCX interconnect service mesh appliances, WAN optimization profiles, and stretched L2 broadcast domains.

    cat hcx-service-mesh.tf
    cat network-extension.tf

  3. Step 3: Validate Hybrid VMware Terraform Configuration

Run terraform init -backend=false and terraform validate to verify the multi-provider vSphere and AzureRM hybrid landing zone HCL declarations offline.

    terraform init -backend=false
    terraform validate

Checked by the agent (terraform-validate): The runner checks that all vSphere datacenter, cluster, and Azure VMware Solution peering blocks validate cleanly.
